All that glitters is probably gold..

Sequins

Sequin table linens are a trend that I am absolutely falling in love with and I think they are going to be very popular this year! I love the sparkle and the texture they add to the venue.

Although they are really nice to the eyes, they may not be practical for guest tables due to their texture and their hefty rental price! To get around that, I would recommend using them on highlight tables like Head Table or the cake table. You can also find sequin table runners that may be easy on the budget. Sequins are a perfect "statement piece" for any special event. Besides the neutrals colors like gold and silver, they also come in many different colors and best of all I have also seen them in chevron.

Let us help you add that sparkle to your special day. Contact me at info@albertaeventdeco.com if you want us to design and decorate your wedding.

Purple is the color of Royalty

Wedding Inspiration: The Color Purple

I have mentioned this before about Hotel Arts but this is a venue we love working with. For this wedding, the bride's main color inspiration was purple.  The bridal bouquet consisted of purple hydranges, purple roses and gorgeous picasso lilies.

The bridesmaids bouquets of white hydrangeas and white roses went really well with their lovely purple dresses.

We also scattered some silk purple rose petals along the aisle for the bride.

We used purple hydrangeas in the centrepieces and white self tie chair covers to lighten up the ballroom. Purple lighting was also used for the backdrop.

Brooch Wedding Bouquet

With the rising presence of brooches on the runway this fall season, they are becoming increasingly popular as part of bridal bouquets as well. Brooch bouquets can be a beautiful alternative to the traditional flower bouquet... when they are done right. I love this idea since you can incorporate family brooches (yours and his) into your bouquet.

I am a huge fan of fresh flowers and I firmly believe that every wedding needs something lovely and fragrant to set the mood for the ceremony and reception. But at the same time brides need to explore ways to reduce their carbon footprint when it comes to the Big Day. In addition to being distinctively fun and sparkly, there are many advantages of going with a brooch bouquet.  Following the wedding, the bouquet can be carefully disassembled and provide meaningful keepsakes or itself could find a place in your home which you can appreciate down the road. It is also a great alternative if you are allergic to flowers!

Enjoy these photos and if you like Alberta Event Deco to help you create your next brooch bridal bouquet, don't forget to contact us!

The Garden Theme Wedding

Wedding Inspiration: Garden Flowers

These photos are from a wedding ceremony that took place at the Westminster Church in the North West and the reception was at the Greenwood Inn.

The church altar had two beautiful flower arrangements and the aisle was lined with fresh flower pews in mason jars that were hanging from Shepherds hooks.

The reception room and the backdrop were washed in LED lights that were in the tones of Green and Pink. The dance floor was covered with hanging paper lanterns and tissue paper pom poms.

Alberta Event Deco provided the candy station for the reception.
