Fall Wedding - Hotel Arts

Last week we had the pleasure to decorate Heather and David's wedding venue. The wedding colors were burnt orange and navy. AED created the ceremony arbor using soft drapes and orange blossom branches. The vintage crystal chandelier hanging above makes for a stunning altar for the ceremony. Its rustic and elegant at the same time.

The aisle was marked by candles and fall petals along the aisle runner.

Fall fruits are gorgeous as decor and combine beautifully with flowers. The centerpiece for the reception had white Vendella roses with orange slices at the bottom.

White Paper lanterns were hung above the dance floor to create a whimsical night. Brides often do not consider using them indoors but as you can see they can still jazz up any space when they are lit up.

Here is what Heather had to say about our services:

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! The decor at the wedding looked so beautiful! The backdrops, candles, chandelier, centerpieces, lanterns, everything looked so great and totally exceeded my expectations! Thank
you for putting up with our last min changes with the seating chart and being able to do a great job on reprinting it in such short notice. You did such a wonderful job!"

Colorful Candy Buffet - Eye catching and mouth watering wedding decoration

Having a candy buffet at the wedding reception has gained a lot of popularity over the last few years.  The beautiful selection of treats is an alternative to traditional wedding favors that are placed on guest tables. Treat your guests to sugar fest and let them pick n mix their favorite sweets. Dress the candy and chocolates in elegant glass and crystal for visual drama. You can match the wedding color scheme to bride's favorite colors. Ribbons and labels are great embellishments to your candy containers. I personally would not limit the candy buffet to just candy, I would love to add brownies, cupcakes, and maybe caramel popcorn to the table as well.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in Canadian women. Canadian Cancer Society estimates 23,200 women in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,300 women will die from the disease in 2011.

I would encourage all the women to not only join in the fight against this disease, but to learn more about it. Canadian Cancer Society's website has everything you need to know about early detection, prevention and the ways you can help support the cause.
